July 5th After a Fabulous 4th

Here is Peggy and her granddaughter Allie on the 4th of July. On Monday Peggy has some of her veins stripped so that is why she is wearing the one leg of panty hose.

The day started off rainy and overcast but turned into a partly sunny afternoon which evolved into a cool evening to sit and watch fireworks. I headed out to the Bains in the late afternoon to celebrate the 4th. It was great fun celebrating the day with their family and friends. Roy was stuck at the office with the quarter close from______. We were going to make a doggy bag to bring him of brisket, potato salad, my salad, sausage, beans, fruit salad and banana pudding, but we ate just about everything. From the vantage of their front porch we could see the fireworks at Katy Mills Mall and fireworks from the surrounding neighborhoods. The show we were waiting for was their neighbors across the way. He puts on a spectacular show that rivals professional shows. We were not disappointed. As I drove home along the Westpark Toll Road, I was treated to fireworks almost all the way into Houston. What an enjoyable ride home.
